Contract :
"Gîtes de France des Hautes-Alpes" can only guarantee lodgings which have got an agreement and which are mentioned in this catalogue. Consequently, you have to make sure that Gîtes de France contract mentions obligatory : the agreement number, the dates, the price accompanied by a description of the lodging.

Welcome :
On arriving you will have to be met by the owner or his representative. It is recommended to get in contact with the Gîte?s owner in order to settle your hour of arrival and to have more information concerning the access route. You may be asked a guarantee deposit when you arrive at the lodging.

Telephone :
Some Gîtes are equipped with the "Telestay" system. A telephone will be at your disposal to receive calls.

Stay tax :
Some towns of the Hautes-Alpes ask for a stay tax in order to develop and to improve the touristic equipments. It is asked for all persons residing in the town periodically. According, you may be charged on it by the owner. This tax is not necessarily included in the rates mentioned in the catalogue.

House keeping :
On arriving there will be an inventory. The cleanliness of the Gîte will have to be stated by the two parts. The tenant is in charge of the cleaning of the premises during the stay and before departure.

Sleeping capacity :
Some Gîtes are equipped with supplementary beddings permitting to increase their sleeping capacity. However the printed description doesn?t take into account those supplementary beds. If the number of tenants exceeds the sleeping capacity given in the catalogue and without previous agreement, the owner may refuse the supplementary tenants, or ask for an extra-charge.

Animals :
The previous agreement of the owner is absolutely necessary if you want to bring a pet.

Other services :
Sheets and TV can be provided by the owner either free of charge or with an extra-charge.

Week-end :
Week-end rents go from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon, or from Saturday morning to Monday morning (two days, two nights).

Complaints :
Any complaints have to be expressed during the first three days following the arrival in the Gîte.

Rates :
Prices of Gîte rural are presented as a weekly rate whereas, Gîtes d?étape, chambres d?hôtes and campings are presented on a nightly basis. The rates for charges for board and lodging in chambres d?hôtes are usually a price per person based on two persons sharing a room. Rates are available from october 1st to september 30th.

Charges :
Price of the rent does not include some charges (like heating) : these will be stated precisely when you will settle the contract.
